Ringworm Treatment

It is hard time when you have a ringworm to deal with. People are doing all sort of things and taking every medicine available to get rid of it. Many a times the ringworm keeps coming back after treatment. For some of you the ringworm will be treated with in one or two days and for others it may continue for some time longer.

Any ways here is a list of things that you should do if you get a ringworm....

1) Take the ringworm treatment as early as possible.
2) Avoid scratching the affected area.
3) If the ringworm is itching then gently rub the area with a clean cloth.
4) Always keep the affected area clean and dry.
5) Wash it regularly.
6) After touching the area, wash your hands before doing other work.
7) Do not share clothes, towels etc. with others because they may get the infection.
8) Apply the ringworm treatment till it completely disappears.
9) Avoid sugar, coffee, tea, white flour products, tinned foods, high flavoured dishes
10) Do a body cleansing program.
11) Take alot of raw vegetables and fruits.
12) If the ringworm is increasing in size then see a doctor immediately. Do not delay.

Hopefully you will see improvements and the ringworm will be cured.

Just a tip....

I was told that Vagisil and similar generics contain the same active ingredient that is in ringworm medicine. Its apparently much cheaper.

I feel like I'm in a living nightmare. I went to the doc cause I got a couple of what I thought were infected bug bites. One on my arm and one on my leg. Then I broke out in a rash (tiny bumps which whelt up and itch like crazy) on different parts of my body, neck, waist, stomach and legs. My doctor said he thought it was ringworm and put me on a cream med and also oral antibiotics. That was Friday and I'm still having the little itchy bumps/whelts breaking out. The original ones have a little scab in the center of them. It's totally gross and hard to deal with. Years ago I got ringworm when grooming pets and it was a small typical ring area and I used Blue Star ointment and it went away. So I put the Blue Star on this stuff yesterday and got a severe reaction which made it much worse. HELP!

Tea - lots and lots of tea. That'll not only solve ring worm but it'll solve aging, common cold, ugliness, smelliness - everything!!

It is the most uncomfortable and demanding treatment ever. I have band aids all over my body. I started with one on my right arm, and then got one on my right leg, now the other arm and leg got it too. I have about 8 of them. They are small but itch like crazy. It has been a week and the doc’s cream only seems to be preventing it from growing but not from going away. Should I get oral medication?? I have tried everything Iodine, nail polish, tea tree oil… I just want this nightmare to end! 

Jock itch cream medicine is the best for ring worm. Sometimes they go away in a couple of days and other times in about a week.

I remember having a small itchy circle on the side of my calve. This was about 5 years ago. I lived NY so it would really bother me during the summer. Now I live were its many warm all the time and I'm tortured. I thought it was eczema and nothing worked and since I scratch in my sleep, it got bigger on my leg and then went to the other leg ( I sleep fetal position) and since I scratch at night, I got it on my forearms and on the side of my elbow. I've tried everything, antibotic cream from my dr. but when I stop it comes back and its alredy hot where I am I also have tried vinegar, bleach, tea tree oil, blue star. Right now I'm doing a combo of bleach and the blue star and TRYING NOT TO SCRATCH!! If anyone has any suggestion please write me @ chuletita115@yahoo.com

i have it on my face, on my chin. i thought it was a bug bite at first since it swelled and itched. i scratched and scratched. then i realized the way it was forming it was nothing like what i've seen before. it was circular about a size of a dime and it was all dark red almost black scab and still is. near it, i started getting two more of these sukkahs. so now i have 3 spots on my face! 2 small ones and 1 big one. i've been at home feeling sad and depressed about this. i've been putting on antifungal cream but it hasnt help with the scabs. I've been doing this for 3 days now. is it suppose to have a dark red/black and thick scab in a size of a dime???

I have it on my face. It's never just 1 spot either, I have a few of them now. I've been using Lamisil and they go away after a few days, but always keep coming back!

Eddy is an idiot.
Ringworm is not even a worm it's a fungus and even a little bit of sex will transfer it to your partner as it is highly contageous. Collodial Silver will kill it in 2 to 3 days -but collodial silver is very expensive.
Any anti-fungal cream will work. (Vagisil or a jock itch cream...)

one of the best things to do is to stay away from sugar, alcohol, processed foods, anything with yeast. it helps the fungus grow and you need to kill the fungus instead. garlic works as it's antifungal, you could put that on your skin. i tried to cover it and keep it from coming back but you have to keep it dry. the sun will help kill it too, do as much research as you can. hydrogen peroxide works to dry it out as it's a moist fungus and needs moisture.

i got it from my kitten and we've been battling this for 6+ weeks now. mine is almost gone and any spots that i think are it coming back, i put antifungal cream on. i would also do the hydrogen peroxide. i wet cotton balls in it that were bigger than the spots and taped them on with medical tape. that worked too, you have to change your skin's pH to alkaline so that the fungus will die. it likes acidic pH i think. apple cider vinegar is another one. these all work, you just have to be persistent and do it all the time.

ringworm sucks

Sun, 01 Nov 2009 01:21:33

Ringworm sucks. When I first caught it, I thought it was a spider bite. But then it started to look like a small onion ring was under my skin. And it started itching. My doctor gave me some pills and some cream, which seemed to work. But it came back. I have no idea where I'm getting this from or how I caught it in the first place, but it's very annoying.
