Scalp Ringworm cases are increasing 10/28/2007
According to a report from Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday, scalp ringworm is slowly and steadily increasing, especially among the school children. CommentsMichelle Sun, 25 May 2008 19:28:49 Did treatment work for your son? I dealt with this infection and oral medication did slow down the spreading but was not making it go away. The medication is not good to take more than approximately 3 months due to harshness on the liver. After a month of this harsh medicine not working, I saw a sports medicine specialist. He informed me that sugar feeds fungus. The medicine was working but each time I put sugar in my body I was allowing the fungus to over power the medicine. I eliminated sugar from my diet. I saw a difference within a couple of days. My hair grew back, I continued to get my scalp checked every 6 months for a few years and all is good. Hope this helps someone and Good Luck!
